summer jobs
After doing a little research online I felt slightly better to learn that I’m not alone. This year in particular teens are having a harder time finding summer jobs as a result of the struggling economy.
I’ve applied just about everywhere I could think of and havent had any luck. I applied to Steve and Barry’s around spring break, then I procrastinated a month and applied to a couple other places and nothing.
I really need to get a part time job this Summer because my parents told me if I got one, they’d get me a car. Although I’d have to pay them back and take care of gas and insurance myself, I know I wouldnt be able to get started without their help. As if that isn’t incentive enough, I hate to admit it but if I didnt get the job or car I’d start getting a little bored after about a month.
I read that by the end of May 75% of businesses finished getting all the people they needed, so I’ve put myself in quite a pickle. One thing I know for sure from experience is fast food jobs are extremely easy to come by. Even though it’s one of the worst jobs available, I put myself in the position where I can’t eliminate that as an option.

summer deal
Along with the much anticipated Summer season comes hot, humid weather and many look for different ways to cool off. In addition to swimming and air conditioners, people look for a cold treat to do the job. After hours of research I have come to the conclusion that the best value of the Summer are freeze pops.
For about the same price as a gallon of fattening ice cream or 12 regular popsicles you get 100 freeze pops! Normally a deal like that is unheard of these days. This frozen novelty comes in more flavors than regular popsicles and they’re all great. An added bonus is the days of worrying about your ice cream or popsicles melting in the trunk of your car are long gone because they come in liquid form. Just give them afew short hours in the freezer and they are ready to eat.
However, don’t forget the scissors because they come in little tubes of plastic and can’t be opened like your average popsicle. Overall the pro’s outweigh the cons and i highly reccommend them. : )
